Recipe Overview
Why you’ll love it: All the great flavors you love in the favorite campfire treat but packed into popcorn! S’mores popcorn is perfect for your next movie night!
How long it takes: 20 minutes
Equipment you’ll need: popcorn popper, 2 large rimmed baking pans
Servings: 10

How To Make S’mores Popcorn
Pop the corn. Begin with a half cup of unpopped popcorn kernels. I like to use “mushroom” kernels because they pop up so large and round, but any kind of kernel, white or yellow, will work. I usually use an air popper to pop the kernels.
Add a few goodies. Spread the popcorn on a couple of big rimmed baking sheets, then sprinkle on mini marshmallows and graham cracker cereal, such as Golden Grahams.
Melt chocolate. Melt milk chocolate chips (or semi-sweet, if you prefer) and drizzle the melted chocolate over the popcorn mixture. Gently shake the pan to make sure the chocolate coats everything. Let the s’mores popcorn cool (if you can wait that long, I know I couldn’t!) until the chocolate hardens up.

This is so good! You’re going to love it! I think I like s’mores popcorn better than regular campfire s’mores.

S’mores Popcorn

Ingredients
- ½ cup unpopped popcorn kernels (see note)
- 2 cups graham cracker cereal (such as Golden Grahams)
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- 2 cups milk chocolate chips
Instructions
- Use an air popper to pop popcorn. Remove any unpopped or partially popped kernels (see note) and spread popcorn on two large rimmed baking sheets. I usually line the pans with parchment paper for easy clean-up.½ cup unpopped popcorn kernels
- Sprinkle graham cracker cereal and marshmallows over the popped popcorn.2 cups graham cracker cereal , 2 cups mini marshmallows
- Melt chocolate (I do it in 30 second intervals using the microwave, stirring after each time, being careful not to overheat the chcolate. A double boiler would work great too.). Drizzle melted chocolate over popcorn mixture.2 cups milk chocolate chips
- Gently shake pans to make sure chocolate adheres to everything. Let chocolate harden before serving or storing.
Notes
- Popcorn: I use mushroom popcorn kernels for this popcorn because it pops up really full and round. You can find it on Amazon. Regular popcorn (white or yellow) also works fine.
- Remove the unpopped kernels: To remove unpopped kernels, put the popcorn into a large bowl and gently stir or shake the popcorn. The heavier unpopped kernels will sink to the bottom. This is important because once the popcorn is combined with other ingredients and covered with chocolate, it can be difficult to detect the unpopped kernels. You don’t want anyone biting down on a hard kernel and hurting their teeth!
- Storage: Once the popcorn mixture is completely cool, and the chocolate has hardened, transfer the popcorn to an airtight container. It will keep for 2 days but it’s really best eaten right away.

I am absolutely dying over this popcorn! Is it wrong that I want to make it and sneak it into a movie with me? Do they still have those “no outside food” rules? Either way, I’d risk getting busted for this.
The s’mores popcorn is definitely enticing… Yum!

We have a fire pit & everyone always wants to make s’mores. I ALWAYS have the fixins to make it… even bought the HUGE double size marshmallows. We do it old school…. graham crackers & milk chocolate Hershey Bars… Sticky ooey gooey lots of fun !!
