Turkey Wrap
Make your own turkey wrap sandwich with spreadable cream cheese, deli-sliced turkey, lettuce, cucumbers, and avocado! Perfect for lunches or an easy dinner.

Ingredients
- 1 whole wheat tortilla, about 12 inches diameter (see note)
- 2 tablespoons chive and onion cream cheese spread (or another flavor, if you like)
- 3 slices deli turkey
- 6 slices cucumber (very thinly sliced)
- 1 leaf red or green leaf lettuce (or shredded lettuce)
- ½ ripe avocado, sliced
Instructions
- If the tortilla seems stiff, microwave it a few seconds first. Warming it up will make the tortilla more pliable and easier to roll. Spread the tortilla with cream cheese, leaving a 1-inch border.1 whole wheat tortilla, about 12 inches diameter, 2 tablespoons chive and onion cream cheese spread
- Arrange turkey and vegetables down the middle of the wrap. Don't overfill the wrap because that can make it difficult to roll, and the tortilla may crack. I aim for about the middle third of the tortilla.3 slices deli turkey, 6 slices cucumber , 1 leaf red or green leaf lettuce, ½ ripe avocado, sliced
- To roll, fold in the sides of the tortilla first, until they almost touch. Bring the bottom flap up over the sides, and continue to roll, keeping the tortilla tight around the filling. You can secure it with a toothpick to keep it from unrolling, if you like.
- If desired, grill the wrap briefly in a skillet, pressing down lightly. A panini press or George Foreman grill can be used, too. Grill until the tortilla is just lightly golden and crisp.

Notes
- Tortilla: I like to use a whole wheat flour tortilla but you can use a regular flour tortilla instead. Other wraps or tortillas can be used, such as low-carb, high-protein, flavored, and so on.
- Variations: Try different deli meats, add bacon or sliced cheese, swap in your favorite cream cheese spread or hummus, or use any type of vegetable you like. Vegetables should be very thinly sliced and drained well. Refer to the post for lots of wrap variation ideas.
- Storage: Tightly wrap each turkey wrap in plastic wrap or wax paper to store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
