Storage: Store the all purpose seasoning in a small jar or container at room temperature. It will keep for up to six months or more. Be sure to label it!
Salt/low sodium: You can decrease the amount of salt or even omit it, or use a salt substitute. Keep in mind that kosher salt is much coarser than table salt so less fits into a tablespoon. One teaspoon of table salt equals roughly 1 to 1 ½ teaspoons of kosher salt, depending on how coarse the salt is.
Make a double batch: To double the ingredients, simply use 2 tablespoons salt, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, paprika, and 1 tablespoon coarse black pepper (makes about ⅔ cup).
