¼teaspooncoarse ground black pepper, more if desired
For Serving:
4lemon wedges
2tablespoonsminced fresh parsley(optional)
Instructions
In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper to create a seasoning mixture.
2 tablespoons olive oil, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon paprika, ½ teaspoon onion powder, ½ teaspoon dried thyme, ½ teaspoon kosher salt, ¼ teaspoon coarse ground black pepper, more if desired
Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels. Brush both sides of the cod fillets with the seasoned olive oil mixture, making sure they are evenly coated.
4 cod fillets, 4 to 6 ounces each
Place the seasoned cod fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry the cod fillets at 400°F for approximately 10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets (see note). Check for doneness by inserting a fork into the thickest part of the cod fillet. The fish should flake easily and appear opaque all the way through when done. The internal temperature should be 145°F when tested with an instant read thermometer. Try not to overcook the cod.
Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the fish. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.

Notes
Cod: We prefer thicker fillets, ¾ to 1 inch thick. Thinner pieces seem to have a drier texture and stronger fish flavor. Choose good quality cod. We found that some brands weren't as tender or flavorful.
Seasoning: The cod can be seasoned any way you prefer. Use pre-mixed seasoning blends or make your own.
Serving ideas: Air fryer cod is perfect for fish tacos, fish sandwiches, bowls, or wraps. Refer to the post for more suggestions.
