3ouncesreduced-fat cream cheese, softened at room temperature for 1-2 hours
12ouncesfull fat cow’s milk feta cheese
1/4teaspoonground black pepper
1teaspoonminced fresh mint
1/4cupminced fresh parsley
2tablespoonsminced fresh chives
salt to taste
In a food processor, combine cream cheese, feta cheese, water, garlic powder and black pepper. Combine until mostly smooth (will appear grainy – some remaining texture is good). Spoon this mixture into a bowl and stir in herbs until combined (see notes).
Taste and add salt as desired.
Serve with crackers or toasted slices of french bread.
Adjust herbs to your liking – if you don’t like chives or mint, feel free to leave them out or try substituting a different herb. I often increase the amount of parsley – I love the fresh flavor of it.
You can also add the herbs to the food processor and blend them in – it makes this dip a really pretty green color.
