These easy sloppy joes come together using only FIVE ingredients, including the bun and a slice of cheese! This will become a go-to quick weeknight meal.
1(10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup, Campbell’s preferred
8wheat hamburger buns (any soft bun would work)
8slicespepper jack or colby jack cheese
Instructions
In a large skillet, cook the ground meat and red onion with the salt and pepper, breaking up the meat as it cooks over high heat. Cook until no more pink is visible on the beef, 15 to 20 minutes. It’s okay if there is a little bit of grease, but if you want, you can drain it at this point.
Stir the condensed tomato soup into the beef mixture. Turn off the heat and stir so that the tomato soup is evenly distributed.
Cut the buns in half; place a slice of cheese on the bottom half. Scoop a large spoonful or two of sloppy joe filling onto the cheese, and then place the top bun on top and enjoy. (I also added lettuce!)
