1cupshredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided(mozzarella or Monterey Jack are good, too)
2green onions, thinly sliced
1stalkcelery, finely diced
1largegreen bell pepper, sliced thinly(optional)
hot sauce and/or additional green onions for serving, optional
Instructions
Preheat oven to 450°F.
Coat sheet pan lightly with olive oil. Sprinkle oil evenly with cornmeal. Spread pizza dough on top of cornmeal, pushing crust to edge of pan. Pre-bake crust for 4 minutes in preheated oven.
Meanwhile in a medium bowl, mix tuna (drain it first), mayonnaise, ½ cup cheddar cheese, green onion, and celery until combined. Taste and season with salt and pepper, as desired.
Remove crust from oven. Carefully spread tuna mixture evenly on top of crust. Add remaining cheese and sliced green bell pepper; return pizza to oven.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until crust is golden brown, toppings are hot, and cheese is melted.
Let pizza cool for 1 to 2 minutes before cutting and serving. Top with hot sauce or green onions, as desired, prior to serving.
Notes
If you prefer, substitute a red bell pepper for the green pepper.
Other kinds of cheese can be used (mozzarella, Monterey jack, etc.).
Use any type of pizza dough or crust that you prefer, or make your own pizza dough.
