If you’re reading this on Friday or Saturday, I’m off at a retreat with some of my blogging colleagues and friends in New Buffalo, Michigan. Random location, I know. However, we rented a gorgeous house on the lake and we’re planning to relax and rejuvenate while learning from each other and cooking together. I’m writing this on Monday, but hoping there will still be some beautiful colors along the lake. The photo above is from a park down the road from our house. I feel so lucky to live in such a beautiful area. I know winter is just around the corner, but boy is Michigan beautiful this time of year. Can someone remind me of that when it’s still snowing in March? Thanks.
We’ve had a whirlwind October and November probably won’t be any different. October was Homecoming (we’re chaperones every year!), our Harvest party, conferences, Halloween, and so much more. Oh and we’re redoing our basement AND replacing our roof. So that’s fun.
Now for a little randomness….

Comment that’s making me happy: You know how much I LOVE all your comments! Being a mom of a kid with allergies, this comment especially warmed my heart this week. JC commented on my Chocolate Coconut Nut-Free Energy Balls: “A big THANK YOU!!!! We took have 1 child who is extremely sensitive to nuts and sunflower seeds! I have had a hard time finding recipes to fit all our allergies and intolerances!!!!” Nut allergy or not, those are a hit with everyone! They’re the perfect afternoon chocolate fix. So glad you liked them, JC!
