Pumpkin spice muddy buddies, a.k.a. puppy chow, is quick to make and perfect for holiday parties and gifts! This recipe is filled with the flavors of pumpkin pie and totally addictive.

Easy Pumpkin Spice Muddy Buddies

These awesome Pumpkin Spice Muddy Buddies are similar to puppy chow but take on a seasonal twist thanks to pumpkin pie spice and Biscoff spread. Like my favorite pumpkin spice candied walnuts, pumpkin spice muddy buddies are an easy treat that never disappoints at fall parties!

I know you all need something to snack on while you’re making that big Thanksgiving dinner. Pumpkin spice muddy buddies are just the thing. This easy recipe would be perfect as a special treat in lunch boxes, too.

What You’ll Need

Below are some notes on the key ingredients you’ll need to make this muddy buddy recipe. Scroll to the recipe card further on for the full amounts and details.

  • White Chocolate
  • Biscoff Spread: The addition of Biscoff gives so much great flavor to these muddy buddies.
  • Pumpkin Pie Spice: Pumpkin pie spice really drives the fall flavor home. You can make your own pumpkin pie spice with cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, allspice, and cloves, or buy it already made at the grocery store.
  • Chex Mix Cereal: Use Cinnamon Chex if you can find it at the grocery store, for even more cinnamon spice.
  • Powdered Sugar

What Is Biscoff Spread?

Biscoff is a creamy spread, similar to peanut butter in texture, but it’s made of Biscoff cookies. In fact, you may know it as cookie butter. Biscoff cookies are shortbread cookies that are mildly spiced, sort of like a speculoos cookie or gingersnap.

I love to use Biscoff spread in a variety of ways: Biscoff Popcorn, Caramel Biscoff Blondies, Biscoff Pancakes, and so on. Once you buy a jar, you’ll discover all sorts of ways to use it, other than eating out of the jar with a spoon.

How to Make Pumpkin Spice Muddy Buddies

The best part is that the puppy chow is SO easy to make. So, so, so easy!

  • Prep the ingredients. While you’re melting white chocolate and Biscoff in the microwave, you throw some powdered sugar into a zip-top bag. Once the white chocolate is melted, stir in pumpkin pie spice. Add Chex cereal and stir until the cereal is good and coated in white chocolate.
  • Combine. The last thing left to do is pour that coated cereal into the zip-top bag with the powdered sugar. Shake, shake, shake….eat, eat, eat.

Try and resist this stuff. Just try.

I seriously cannot be trusted around salty-sweet concoctions like these. I’ll make a big batch “for holiday gifts” and see how many actually wind up being delivered…
