Still looking for a sweet treat to serve on Valentine’s Day? These sweet mini cheese balls are perfect: little bites of cheesecake goodness in one neat package.

Most cheese balls are savory, served large and in charge, with some crackers to use for dipping or spreading. I sweeten things up a bit and make these bite-sized.

Mini cheesecake balls are super cute and fun for parties. Or for a romantic Valentine’s Day date.

What are your Valentine’s Day plans? We typically just exchange cards. Who even knows what we’ll be having for dinner. Probably something super romantic like leftovers. And I guarantee I’ll be arguing with a 3-year-old about washing her hands after dinner. And I’ll be telling a 1-year-old cutie to stop throwing his milk on the floor.

Two rows of cinnamon cheesecake balls with brightly colored forks inserted upright, and a row of pretzel flats, on black background.

But I’m always surrounded by tons of love and couldn’t be happier about that. Maybe there will even be mini cheese balls involved. Probably not though. Probably just leftovers.

These cinnamon cheesecake mini cheese balls are SO good. If you took a cheesecake and rolled it into cute little balls, the result would be these. And they’re perfect with crackers or pretzels. I personally love pretzels for the salty-sweet combination.

The cheese balls are made from cream cheese, powdered sugar, cinnamon, and a cheesecake pudding mix to take that cheesecake flavor to the max. And then they are rolled in graham cracker crumbs to complete the perfect cheesecake taste.

Scattered cheesecake balls with plastic forks inserted into each.

….and I will be ever so grateful if I never have to type “cheese ball” ever again. The end.

Cinnamon cheesecake mini cheese balls are perfect party treats, are easy to make, and even easier to eat.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened (1 stick)
  • 1 ounce package cheesecake instant pudding mix (I used sugar-free)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs

Instructions

  • Using an electric mixer, beat all ingredients together except graham cracker crumbs. Once smooth, roll into balls about 1-inch in diameter.
  • Coat in graham cracker crumbs and place on rimmed baking sheet.
  • Chill for at least an hour. Serve with pretzels or vanilla wafers.

Notes

  • If mixture seems too soft to roll, chill until it firms up.

Verdict: Undeniably delicious.
Husband’s take: He loves these cheese balls too!
Changes I would make: None are necessary  but it would be fun to play with different flavor combinations.
Difficulty: Slightly time-consuming to roll into balls but overall very easy!

I’ve never seen a 1 oz. pkg of pudding mix. The smallest that I’ve seen is 3.4 oz. Where do you find these little guys? Are you talking just using 1 oz of the larger box? I somehow feel like this is such a *duh* question with such an easy answer. I love trying your recipes! I feel as though I know you! Thanks so much for sharing your love of food with everyone!

You know what, I think I might have been using sugar-free (I think I bought it by accident!). So if you have a large box, then yes, I’d just use roughly one ounce of it. It might even work just fine if you use an entire 3/4 ounce. But don’t quote me on that. ;)

And thank you so much for the kind words and for reading my blog!!!

I was wondering, if there’s something that can be substituted for the cream cheese pudding mix. I live in Germany and to purchase a box of cream cheese pudding mix would be expensive for me! I’m looking forward to trying this recipe!

Vanilla would work! It might taste slightly less like cheesecake but it will still taste great!

A couple of pretzel sticks stuck into the cheese balls makes a great substitute for the little forks.

My mixture fluffed up like super fluffy whipped icing! It’s impossible to roll into balls. I followed the recipe exactly – what could I have done wrong?

Hmm — could be that your butter and cream cheese were too soft? Maybe try chilling it for an hour or so and then rolling. Otherwise try adding a bit more sugar to see if that improves the consistency. Hope that helps!

I simply put the mixture in the fridge overnight – worked like a charm! I would like to do more cream cheese next time, though. Other than that, GREAT recipe, and wonderful party food! Thanks for the quick response!!
