Have you guys heard of Ree? She has this small blog called The Pioneer Woman. It’s not that great and no one reads it.

Okay, so if you really never have heard of Ree, you wouldn’t know that that first sentence is dripping with sarcasm. And…would you be living under a rock?

Ree’s new book is called The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Food from My Frontier and it is the book I’m reviewing today. Obviously….

Things I loved:

  • Recipes are written in Ree’s signature style with step-by-step photos. So helpful!
  • Gorgeous photos (no surprise there!)
  • Wide variety of recipes.

Things I wished were different (because I’m always going to give you my honest opinion!):

  • There are some repeats from her blog–but they are still great recipes, and I love to look at things in print!

Some recipes that I really want to try: 

  • Breakfast Bread Pudding
  • French Onion Soup
  • Restaurant Style Salsa (heard good things about this!)
  • Pasta with Pesto Cream Sauce
  • Whiskey Glazed Carrots
  • Coffee Cream Cake (pictured above)
