What’s Poppin’

New York City Carriage Ride

Oh my gosh, you guys. NYC! I’m completely smitten with it. We packed SO much into two days there and I loved every minute. Would you want to see a post about what we did, and more importantly, where we ate? It’s far too much to fit into this post, and online guides were such a huge help to me when I planned our spur-of-the-moment trip, so I’m thinking I will. Send me your thoughts!

New on the blog this week: These Baklava Yogurt Parfaits –  basically like eating dessert for breakfast, which is a great way to start any day. Also, this Grilled Pizza with Arugula Pesto, Corn and Ham – it’s sweet, salty, tangy, chewy, crunchy, subtly spicy (thanks, arugula!), and topped with creamy cheese. It’s everything you need in your life! There’s a video for the pizza recipe too, so don’t miss that!

Wearing lately: Not these exact earrings, but I love classic studs like these. I don’t have any in gold and I’m eyeing those…

My house needs: One of these. I know they’re all the rage lately and super trendy but I still love the idea of being able to change them up whenever I want.

Looking to meal plan this week? Here are some things I’m craving this week:

This rug is cracking me up.

For my popcorn: I want this. How fun are the different flavors?

Comment that’s making my heart happy: I love hearing when you make my recipes and take the time to come back and leave a comment – it truly means the world to me. This week, Juanita made my Homemade Croutons and said, “JUST made three batches (out of one loaf) an hour before church. My house smells good, it was SO easy – and I’m so glad I found you. Thank you for the detailed images and simple recipe.” So glad you liked them, Juanita! You can’t beat homemade croutons. Has anyone else tried this recipe?

Halfway through the first day in NYC: I bought these shoes from DSW. (They’re on sale now!) And rocked them the rest of the day with my maxi dress in the photo above, but I fit right in. Such a dummy to think I could make it through a day in sandals. Thankful for my husband who spent 30 minutes in DSW with me in the Big Apple.

New video: Did you guys see my newest video? I’m so obsessed with this pizza.

Also, can you believe it’s already August? I can’t get over how quickly summer is flying by. What are you hoping to squeeze in before the summer ends? I want to go blueberry picking and take the kids to the zoo one more time.

Have a great weekend! Let me know what you think about a NYC recap!

When you make a recipe from my site tag it with #RachelCooks!
I love to see what you're creating!
