Taste of MI {by the numbers}

I have E, she’s Baby #1.

I have the growing kiddo in my uterus, he’s Baby #2.

And then, there is Taste of MI: Baby #3.

Have you heard me talking about this at all? If not, you must not be following me on Twitter–because I may have mentioned it. Once or twice.

To really boil it down, Taste of MI is an event for food bloggers to showcase the fantastic food and beverage offerings of the beautiful state of Michigan. That’s where I live…if you haven’t caught on. If you want to read more about the area where our event will take place, make sure to read this great post.

It all started as a little idea of mine to get together with a few other Michigan bloggers for dinner or something. Now? Well…she’s a whole different creature now.

And I could. not. possibly. be. more. excited.

Here’s a little information about Taste of MI…by the numbers:

1 amazing co-founder: Liz of The Lemon Bowl

0: the number of times Liz & I have met in real life. This number changes tomorrow!!! Hooray!

20: the number of fantastic attendees that I cannot wait to meet

4: the number of bloggers coming in from out of state

3: the number of gourmet meals that will be shared

>50: the number of Michigan-made products in our seriously awesome swag bags

>$500: the estimated value of the swag each attendee will receive

 12: the number of Google documents I have made related to this event to help me stay organized (!)

$570: the approximate value of the KitchenAid stand mixer we are giving away.

6: the total number of giveaways taking place

7: the number of attendees that have been sponsored

1: MLive article written about us

1,000,000: approximate number of times I’ve read that article

5,895,48,985,189: the number of hours spent planning and organizing (approximate number)

$0: the amount of money Liz & I made while planning. Actually, that number is negative in reality but we won’t talk about that. We loved every minute of the planning–that’s what happens when you’re insanely excited about something.

 

TASTE OF MICHIGAN HAPPENS SATURDAY BEGINNING AT 9AM! Did I mention I’m excited?
